LAHORE (Punjab News) – On Thursday, renowned presenter Iqrar ul Hassan announced the foundation of a new political party.
Iqrar ul Hassan, speaking at a news conference at the Lahore news Club, revealed the name of his group as “Pakistan Awam Raj Tehreek.”
Iqrar ul Hassan said that he will never run for office or take up any government job.
“I call Allah and Prophet (PBUH) as my witnesses that I will not take any party or government post,” he said.
He expressed hope that the new party will bring about fresh political change in Pakistan, breaking away from established political norms and emerging as a beacon of hope for the people.
He also stated that he would neither seek or accept any personal advantage from either his own or any other political party.
Iqrar ul Hassan also stated that his party would soon start activities around the country.
The anchor-turned-politician said that Pakistan Awam Raj Tehreek is a democratic platform owned by the people of Pakistan, adding that unlike other political parties, it does not belong to any family or individual and has no hereditary leadership.
