Government is powerless in the face of encroachers in Multan.

MULTAN – The officials in the city of saints have given the encroachment mafia carte blanche; the city’s principal thoroughfares have already been encroached upon, and the encroachers are now targeting government lands and graveyards.

The mafia was able to intrude on SurajMiani, MDA Chowk, Clock Tower Chowk, KacheriChowk, and many other areas due to the district government’s inefficiency, causing mayhem for the entire city by erecting stores, illegal parking stands, and street vendors blocking the roads.

It was also discovered that KacheriRoad, which runs directly in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, has become difficult to access due to illegal parking stands and encroachments, but that the district government is powerless in the face of the encroachers and has sought assistance from the traders association.

Hundreds of operations have been carried out by the district administration to remove encroachment, but the mafia, with the help of officers of the metropolitan corporation, returns their products taken during the operations in a matter of hours.
