MULTAN:Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) has terminated all power connections of WASA for non-payment of Rs 2134 million unpaid dues here on Wednesday.

According to Irsahd Hussain Siyal, Deputy Commercial Manager MEPCO Multan Circle, the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has not utilised to pay the unpaid dues of over Rs 2.

Notwithstanding many pledges, 13 billion will be spent from July to December 2023.

He stated that the connections were disconnected due to non-payment of Rs 479.4 million pending dues on WASA under MEPCO Cantt division, Rs 253.3 million pending dues on WASA under Mumtazabad division, over Rs 162.7 million on WASA under MEPCO City division, Rs 411.9 million on WASA under Musa Pak division, and Rs 827.1 million WASA dues on MEPCO Shah Rukn-e-Alam division.
