MULTAN, (APP ):Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) customers are irritated by unannounced and extended hours of power outages in several municipal sub-divisions under the pretext of maintenance.
According to this news outlet, four hours of load shedding on alternate days for the previous couple of months has been a continual cause of emotional torment and disruption for home duties.
Mrs Meena, a resident of Waqas Town, which comes under MEPCO’s Cantt Sub Division, claimed that she and her family were having a difficult time since the power supply had been cut off from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on alternate days in their area for many weeks.
As a result, she grieved that the whole family was suffering as a result of the ineffectiveness of water, which is an essential element of everyone’s daily existence, and that her son was late for work as a result of this problem.
Another resident, Muhammad Tariq, said that he was quite angry because of the extended hours of power outage and that whenever he called MEPCO about it, he was told that the load shedding was being done for maintenance in their region.
“In the winter, we suffer due to maintenance, whilst in the summer, our colony’s power fluctuates. I’m not sure what kind of maintenance MEPCO does.” He inquired.
“My husband gets annoyed when he does not get at work on time owing to a lack of ironed clothing in the aftermath of four hours of load shedding in Altaf Town,” Ms Bhatti said.
She said that the early power outage disrupted the whole routine of the household.
Numerous calls and mails were made to MEPCO General Manager Operations Nasir Ayaz Gurmani for his remarks, but he did not attend or react.
