RAWALPINDI : In the course of 16 counter-narcotics operations across the nation over the past 48 hours, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) of Pakistan has seized over 1093 kg of drugs and 586.8 litres of illegal chemicals, detained 14 suspects, including two women, and impounded three vehicles, an ANF spokesman said here on Sunday.

He said that the ANF had carried out an operation close to the Islamabad Tarnol Toll Plaza and had arrested two suspects in addition to recovering 43.2 kg of charras and seven kg of opium from a pickup truck’s hidden cavities.

In a separate operation near the Islamabad Motorway Toll Plaza, the ANF was able to seize two suspects, including a lady, and find 16 kg of heroin, 7.2 kilogramme of opium, and 7.2 kg of charras from a car’s hidden compartments.

ANF’s third operation at Islamabad International Airport resulted in the recovery of 820 grammes of heroin from the hands of a Riyadh-bound traveller who was a resident of Bajaur Agency.

In the fourth operation, which took place close to the Islamabad Motorway Toll Plaza, ANF seized 2.4 kg of charras from an alleged Nowshera resident.

In the sixth operation, 489 grammes of heroin were found in the hands of a Kohistani passenger travelling to Bahrain at Lahore International Airport.

In the sixth operation, ANF and FC carried out a raid in Khyber and retrieved 29 kg of charras from a border region between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

In a separate operation on the Karachi Super-Highway, the ANF seized 900 grammes of Ice and one kilogramme of crystal heroin from a Multan resident’s hands.

In the ninth operation near Gwadar, 150 kg of Ice drug, 25 kilogramme of charras, and 10 kg of heroin were found.

In one operation, the ANF managed to find 586.8 litres of illegal chemicals in the Chaman region. In a separate search, the ANF found 105 kg of charras hidden within a car’s hidden compartments in the Quetta-Hazarganji area.

ANF confiscated 490 kg of charras from an abandoned home during the eleventh operation.

The official said that 90 heroin-filled capsules were found in the hands of a passenger from Faisalabad who was travelling to Doha on aircraft PK-287.

In a raid at Bacha Khan International Airport, ANF seized nine capsules laced with charras from a Bannu resident travelling to Sarjah on aircraft PK-257.

18 kilogramme of charras was found near the Pak-Afghan Border during a combined operation by the ANF and FC in Khyber.

In an operation, ANF discovered 30 kg of charras concealed in bushes close to the Panjgor-Turbat Highway region. Three accused were caught with 150 grammes of marijuana in their hands.

All incidents have been reported to the appropriate ANF Police Stations, and more inquiries are ongoing.
