MULTAN: According to A News, quoting FIA authorities, a lady bank clerk got away with Rs2.3 million cash in Multan
According to the information, the lady cashier received cash and checks from clients but deposited them into her own account rather than the accounts of the account holders.
The cashier worked at the private bank from June to August before fleeing, according to FIA authorities. On the allegation of the area sales manager, a fraud case was filed against the lady cashier.
An investigation into the situation is now ongoing.
A group of alleged thieves went into a private bank’s automated teller machine (ATM) in Karachi’s Gulberg district in December last year and made off with 1.8 million dollars.
The astute suspects allegedly broke apart a section of the ATM that contains cash-loaded trays, according to authorities. They took two of the three trays, which included Rs1.8 million in currency notes, and left the third, which contained only Rs5,000 in cash.
