On Tuesday, Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed his condolences for the loss of Pakistani military leaders and personnel in a helicopter crash in Congo, where they were stationed for a United Nations peacekeeping mission.
The prime minister also lauded Pakistan’s military troops for their efforts to world peace and security.
The PUMA helicopter crashed on on a surveillance mission, killing eight United Nations forces on board, including six Pakistani officials and soldiers, according to ISPR. The actual cause of the disaster remained unknown.
