Both former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and current prime minister Shahbaz Sharif, according to Maryam Nawaz, Senior Vice President and Chief Organizer of the Pakistan Muslim League-N, were crucial in preventing Pakistan from becoming another Sri Lanka.
BAHAWALPUR (APP) : Both previous prime minister Nawaz Sharif and current prime minister Shahbaz Sharif, according to Maryam Nawaz, Senior Vice President and Chief Organizer of the Pakistan Muslim League-N, had a significant impact in preventing Pakistan from becoming another Sri Lanka.
Speaking at a convention of party workers in Bahawalpur, she stated this. She paid a two-day visit to Bahawalpur, where the party officials and activists gave her a warm welcome. She arrived at the location in a sizable procession.
She claimed that she was aware of the present economic condition while speaking to the Pakistan Muslim League-workers N’s convention. I am aware that there have been price increases, she added, adding that PML-N leader and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was also concerned about the predicament people were in.
However, she said that the nation was compelled to experience a scenario like to default as a result of bad financial policies implemented by the previous administration led by the then-prime minister Imran Khan. Imran and his administration signed a strict deal with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and then breached it, according to Marriam, which is why the present economic catastrophe is their fault.
She said that a deal between the IMF reached while the current administration was in office obliged it to raise the price of petroleum goods.
However, she said that Pakistan’s current administration had been successful in preventing default.
She accused Imran Khan of harming national interests and plundering the national coffers. She said that former prime minister and party leader Nawaz Sharif had given her the order to start the party’s campaign from Bahawalpur. She remarked, “I am grateful to the people of Bahawalpur for their outpouring of affection on me.
She said that she had no interest in holding any position. “There is a political dispute concerning my office in the party,” she stated, adding that all she sought was people’s affection and had no interest in holding any political positions. She said, “People’s affection is a benefit for me.
She said that PML-N will easily win the forthcoming elections and stated that “only PML-N can get the nation out of the dilemma.” She said that Nawaz Sharif-led administrations had carried out a record number of massive development projects throughout the previous 75 years. She said that Nawaz Sharif was responsible for building roads and making Pakistan an atomic power.
She said that under the Nawaz regime, operations like Zarb-i-Azab and Radul Fasaad helped to eradicate terrorism. She said, “Nawaz Sharif completed other huge projects, established Gwadar a deep sea port, and halted energy load shedding.”
She denounced the bombing in Peshawar that killed unarmed civilians. She prayed for those who had passed away and those who had been hurt in the blast in Peshawar.
