Imran receives protected bail from IHC in a number of instances

Gets a 3-day bond in the Al Qadir Trust case and a 10-day bail in the charges involving the May 9 disturbances and Sec. 144 violations: Bushra’s application for release on bond was rejected following her arrest.

The Islamabad High Court has granted Imran Khan protective bail in many charges including a £90 million settlement dispute, a breach of Section 144, and the May 9 riots, according to the 24NewsHD TV station.

The IHC granted Imran Khan protective bail in a 190 million pound corruption case for three days and urged him to seek additional relief from the competent accountability court.

The case was handled by Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb. He informed the PTI leader that he has three working days till June 5 to make his way to the trial court.

The Islamabad High Court granted Imran Khan protective bail for ten days after hearing another appeal in which he sought relief in proceedings brought against him for section 144 violations.

The judge ordered him to speak with the appropriate court within 10 days.

The high court also granted the PTI chairman protective bail for 10 days in proceedings filed against him after the May 9 unrest.

Police provided the court with information on six complaints filed against the former premier during the May 9th riots.

In all instances, the Islamabad High Court asked Imran Khan to confer with the relevant trial court.

The counsel for the PTI head informed the court that his client does not want to fly to F-8 Kuchehri for security concerns.

According to the state prosecutor, the F-8 Kuchehri is currently being relocated to G-11.

IHC Justice Aurangzeb said that whether or not the Kuchehri was relocated, the case procedures will take place at the new complex.

Later, an accountability court in Islamabad granted Imran Khan protective bail till June 19 in the Al-Qadir University corruption case for 190 million pounds.

AC PTI chief’s bail application was heard by Judge Muhammad Bashir.

Following his appearance in court, Imran Khan boarded a vehicle with his wife, who was waiting outside, and the two drove to Lahore.

Bushra’s bail application was denied.

Earlier, on Wednesday, an accountability court in Islamabad denied bail to PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, in the Al Qadir Trust case.

The petition was heard by Accountability Judge Muhammad Bashir.

The judge denied Imran’s wife’s bail plea since no arrest warrants for Bushra Bibi had been issued.

According to the investigating officer, the National Accountability Bureau does not intend to arrest her in this matter.

Following the IO’s declaration, the court pronounced Bushra Bibi’s plea ineffectual and released her.

Following the conclusion of the court, both Imran and Bushra travelled to the Islamabad High Court, where the PTI chairman filed an application for temporary bail in the £190 million settlement case.

Earlier, Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, arrived at the accountability court in their car. Other cars, including Imran’s squad, were halted at the court’s first security gate, and only the PTI chairman’s SUV was permitted through.

Imran renews his call for elections.

Former Prime Minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan reiterated his call for elections on Wednesday, saying the country has no other option at this point.

Speaking to the media after appearing in court in Islamabad, he said that he had proposed negotiations to the administration just for the good of the nation. “We had even held negotiations with former army chief General (r) Qamar Javed Bajwa,” Imran added, adding that “the PTI had held talks even after it was ousted from power.” Similarly, when the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) requested, we convened parleys.”

In response to a query about President Arif Alvi not returning his calls, the former premier claimed there was no truth to it.

Arrival in Lahore

Earlier in the day, former Prime Minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan flew from Lahore to Islamabad to appear before the high court in several instances. Imran was joined by his wife, Bushra Bibi.

The PTI chairman was joined by his legal staff. The Elite Force officials were assigned to his team to protect him. Imran took the highway to Islamabad.

The PTI chairman was scheduled to appear in front of the Islamabad High Court to get bail in the Al Qadir Trust case.

During a hearing on May 15, the IHC granted Imran temporary bail for two weeks and barred officials from detaining him in a variety of instances.

His temporary bail was set to expire today.
