Raja Jalal Hussain Maqpoon, Governor of Gilgit Baltistan, has elected to resign, following in the footsteps of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman.

According to sources, the governor of Gilgit-Baltistan would step down once a new prime minister is chosen.

Governor Gilgit-Baltistan Raja Jalal Hussain Maqpoon took the oath of office on September 30, 2018.

Raja Jalal Hussain Maqpoon, the Governor of Gilgit-Baltistan, has been appointed for a three-year and six-month tenure.

It’s worth mentioning that he played an important role in the formation of the government.
