MULTAN: On Friday, Mansoor Qadir, the interim provincial minister for education, paid a visit to the nearby Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU).
The minister was informed on the current initiatives at the university as well as the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) inked by BZU with foreign varsities while being accompanied by provincial Secretary HED, Javed Akhter Mahmood.
Dr. Najum Ul Haq, director of ORIC, gave the minister a thorough explanation of it as well as the many scholarships available to students.
Attendees included the BZU Vice Chancellor, Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah, the Acting Registrar, Zubair Khan, the Controller of Examinations, Dr. Aman Ullah, and the Deans, Drs. Muhammad Uzair, Saeed Akhtar, and Shaukat Malik.
Speaking at the event, the minister of education suggested that we all carry out our responsibilities fully.
He said that a college founded 50 years ago had grown to be the largest in the area.
Since Saraiki is in the Saraiki area, he recommended that students who earned scholarships there be given the option to serve. He also noted that the staff at BZU is capable of handling the issues the varsity is now experiencing.
The BZU Multan College of Arts and Food Science Institute was the next place he went.
The minister had earlier paid a visit to the Multan University of Science and Technology.
He looked over many departments and praised the contribution of both public and private organisations in achieving the nation’s growth and literary ratio objectives.
The minister was attended by Secretary HED, Dr. M. Ali Shah, BZU VC, M. Ali Gardezi, a former federal secretary, and others.
