MULTAN, (APP): Ghulam Rasool, Joint Secretary Power Division, and Basharat Ali, Chief Auditor Power Planning and Monitoring Company (PPMC) Lahore, presided over an audit paras meeting at the Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) headquarters.

The audit paras made during the fiscal years 2020-21 and 2021-22 were considered at the meeting, according to a news release released here on Sunday.

Engineer Mahar Allah Yar Bharwana, Chief Executive Officer of MEPCO, and Finance Director Mian Ansar Mehmood provided a briefing, stating that the process of purchasing distribution material in MEPCO was underway in accordance with PPRA rules, and that tendering would take place after all SOPs were completed.

The company’s financial dealings were conducted in a transparent manner.

Ghulam Rasool, Joint Secretary Power Division, said that our goal was to detect inconsistencies in government institutions and those who bring harm to the national purse.

The tendering procedure at MAPCO followed the PPRA guidelines. He described the acquisition of crane-mounted vehicles for line personnel in fiscal year 2020-21 as transparent, and he instructed the formation of a committee to assess the warranty duration of the metres.

50 audit paras from different sectors were reviewed during the conference, and the appropriate officials gave thorough reports.

Athar Butt, Fazal Elahi, General Manager Technical Zafar Iqbal Gil, General Manager Customer Services Jam Gul Muhammad Zahid, Director General HR & Admin MEPCO Chaudhry Khalid Mehmood, Director Internal Audit Abdul Ghafar Barmani, and other department heads were also present.
