As part of a fuel price adjustment, the National Electronic Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) approved a Rs 1.29 rise in power tariffs for K-Electric consumers for a month on Monday.

The hearing on K Electric’s proposal for a Rs3.45 per unit rise in power tariffs in February’s monthly fuel adjustment has come to an end, according to NEPRA.

Following the hearing, the authority decided to increase the price of electricity for K Electric customers by Rs 29 paisa per unit, albeit a more detailed decision and notice will be issued later.
