On Friday, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) reserved its decision in a case involving a purported audio tape of former Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar.
During the hearing, the court heard from petitioner Salahuddin advocate, Attorney General of Pakistan Khalid Jawed Khan, and Pakistan Bar Council member Hassan Pasha.
The AGP stated that judicial history has demonstrated that the right guy is always criticised.
It is worth noting that in the virally leaked audio recording, Justice (retd) Saqib Nisar purportedly gave instructions to an anonymous individual to punish PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz.
The tape, according to Justice (retd) Saqib Nisar, was produced and based on a falsehood. “I never talked to anyone on the phone about this topic like way,” he added.
He said that such preparations were being made in order to carry out my premeditated character assassination.
