LAHORE — On Sunday, President Shehbaz Sharif of the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) met with President Chaudhry Shujaat of the Pakistan Muslim League – Quaid (PML-Q) and asked collaboration on a no-confidence vote.

Shehbaz Sharif, the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, has called on the Chaudhry brothers. MNAs Salik Hussain, Shafi Hussain, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Rana Tanveer, Ataullah Tarar, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, and Shabir Usmani attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Shehbaz Sharif and the PML-N delegation questioned about the health of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, and the PML-N president requested cooperation from the PML-Q in the no-confidence motion.

The leaders of both parties also addressed the country’s political predicament. Shehbaz Sharif sent Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain flowers on behalf of Nawaz Sharif, saying, “Nawaz Sharif has extended his best wishes to you.”

During the meeting, the PML-N leader told Chaudhry Shujaat that Allah wish him better health and promised to keep in touch with him, to which the PML-Q leader responded by thanking him.

The conference was divided into three rounds, according to the details. Both sides’ leaders took part in the opening round. Shehbaz Sharif, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, and Pervez Elahi competed in the second round.

Shehbaz Sharif, Shujaat Hussain, Pervez Elahi, Khawaja Saad Rafique, and Sardar Ayaz Sadiq were present in the third round. Rana Tanveer was later invited to the conference.

During the meeting, Shehbaz Sharif expressed confidence in the outcomes of the discussions between the leaders of both parties. All opposition parties, including the PPP, are united in their desire to send the present administration packing.

The Chaudhry brothers stated that we would discuss the party over the political situation, that the following days are critical, and that we will act after assessing the circumstances.
