According to A_news , the Punjab Home Department has approved Rs810 million for the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) force to purchase the newest guns and ammunition to combat terrorism in the state.

The CTD force will acquire five bulletproof trucks, 50 submachine guns, a long-range anti-weapon system, 20 firearms, a thermal imaging sight, and GSM locators with the monies authorised.

The money were given by the Home Department after clearance from the Chief Minister’s Office.
