Officials claim that on Sunday, the Islamabad Police detained Senator Saifullah Niazi, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

The PTI leader’s arrest may have been influenced by unidentified reasons. The Islamabad police confirmed Senator Saifullah Niazi’s detention and stated that he had been sent to jail. After then, the senator supposedly was transferred to an undisclosed location.

Following the recent arrest of former provincial minister Mian Mahmoodur Rashid by the Punjab police, this occurrence occurred.

The authorities have not released any official remarks on the reason for his detention.
