Fazlur Rehman requests that the long march be postponed.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Chairman of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), has advised the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) to postpone their forthcoming long march since separate long marches convey the image of division among the opposition groups.

It may be noted that the co-chairman of the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) and former president Asif Ali Zardari met with the PDM leader yesterday and addressed a variety of problems.

According to the meeting’s insiders, the two commanders had disagreements and mistrust about the lengthy march, but they also decided not to engage in hoarse trading.

During the discussion, the PDM chairman suggested that the PPP postpone its long march on February 27 since the two protests would give the sense of split among the opposition parties, and the PPP should join the opposition parties on the long march.

According to sources, the two leaders disagree on whether a no-confidence petition should be filed at the Center or in Punjab.

According to reports, the JUI-F advised that a no-confidence motion be filed against Imran Khan first, to which the co-chairman of the PPP responded that a no-confidence petition should be filed against the Punjab Chief Minister first.
