BAHAWALNAGAR – The education department closed 74 schools due to concerns about flooding along the Sutlej River.

Details indicate that while education activities were suspended in 23 schools in Arifwala, 51 schools in Pakpattan were shuttered.

Six camps have also been established by the district government for the displaced individuals in consideration of the rising water level in the Sutlej.

In the regions of Pir Ghani, Malik Bahawal, Malik-e-Taro, Beli Dilawar, Tibi Lal Baig, and Noora Rath, relief camps were set up.
