Terrorist Irfan alias Abu Darda was killed by security forces during a confrontation with militants in Shewa, North Waziristan District.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), over the evenings of February 8 and 9, 2022, a gunfight broke out between Security Forces and militants in the approximate neighbourhood of Shewa, North Waziristan District.
Terrorist Irfan nicknamed Abu Darda was killed after a fierce exchange of fire. The terrorist’s weapon and ammunition were also retrieved by the security officials.
The terrorist who was killed was involved in terrorist attacks against security forces, as well as target killings and kidnappings for ransom. Residents in the neighbourhood hailed the operation and vowed their unwavering support for eliminating the threat of terrorism in the area.
