As major figures continued to join the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), the former president Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday extended his stay in Lahore.

Leaders from Dera Ghazi Khan, Hafiz Tahir, and Hafiz Hashim joined the PPP after meeting with Mr. Zardari. Both former Punjab chief minister Dost Muhammad Khosa and PPP South Punjab President Makhdoom Ahmad Mehmood attended the event.

It was anticipated that tomorrow, additional South Punjabi figures will join the PPP. Mr. Zardari extended his stay in Lahore to June 12 due to the gathering Pakistani political leaders.
