Usman Dar, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and other party workers were released after the party’s leadership changed the location of a public rally.

Usman Dar was arrested following a fight between PTI workers and police at the site of PTI chief Imran Khan’s public meeting.

Police stormed the PTI public meeting site, claiming that the district administration had refused to allow the party to hold a public meeting at the CTI Ground in Sialkot.

In response to PTI workers’ resistance, police used tear gas shelling and baton charges to disperse them.
