Muslims around the country observed Shab-e-Barat, a night of devotion, ardour, and heavenly favours, on the night between Friday and Saturday.

Muslims commemorate Shab-e-Barat, also known as the Night of Blessings, on the 14th and 15th of Shaa’ban. It is said to be a night of forgiving and a moment when the fortunes of the coming year are decided.

Following Isha, worshippers met in mosques’ residences to perform special prayers that lasted till Fajr. Prayers were offered for the eradication of the coronavirus as well as the safety of the homeland.
