MASTUNG – Tuesday’s assault on a Levies checkpoint on the Quetta-Taftan highway in Mastung resulted in the martyrdom of two employees.
The thieves also stole the authorities’ guns from Levies. The bodies of Manzoor Ahmed and Muhammad Aslam were shifted to a nearby hospital.
Security personnel surrounded the area to search for the fleeing suspects. Locals protested by blocking the Quetta-Taftan Road.
Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister, expressed his deep sorrow over the unfortunate event and prayed for the souls of the deceased. Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, the chief minister of Balochistan, denounced the event and said that anti-state groups intended to destabilise the province’s tranquilly.
He said categorically that all tools at our disposal will be used to bring terrorist elements to justice.
