HARNAI: At least six miners were injured in a gas explosion in Balochistan’s Harnai area on Tuesday morning.

The event occurred in Harnai’s Zarghoon Ghar region, according to Deputy Commissioner Harnai Muhammad Rafiq Tareen.

“Six coal workers were hurt in a methane gas burst in a mine, and three of them were carried out,” deputy commissioner Tareen said. “Relief operations are ongoing to recover the other three injured trapped in the coal mine,” stated a local official.

According to officials, the coal miners were removing coal from the mine when the gas explosion occurred.

The wounded coal workers were taken to the district headquarters hospital in Harnai for treatment.
