KARACHI (Web Desk) – Shahid Afridi, a former captain of the Karachi Kings, visited the stadium to congratulate the team on their decisive victory against Lahore Qalandars.
Kings secured a 67-run win against Qalandars in the eighth match of the eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) thanks to James Vince’s 46 off 36 deliveries, captain Imad Wasim’s all-around performance, and bowler Akif Javed’s four wickets for 28 runs. The Qalandars were unable to match the 186 runs the Kings had scored.
In the Karachi National Bank cricket stadium, Afridi ran towards the victors and gave them hugs.
He told the reporters that the Kings should remain in the league for a very long time since they had defeated a strong opposition. “Let the competition end first, and then we’ll evaluate player performance,” he said. He advised against heaping praise on a player after a standout performance in a single game since this might lead to increased pressure.
