Ukraine, BORODYANKA/LVIV: A fire broke out in a training facility near Europe’s largest nuclear power plant during a fierce conflict between Russian and Ukrainian soldiers on Friday, according to Ukraine’s official emergency service.

There was no indication of elevated radiation levels at the Zaporizhzhia plant, which provides more than a quarter of Ukraine’s total electricity, according to US Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm.

A video footage from the plant obtained by Reuters showed shelling and smoke rising near a building on the industrial grounds.
