On Thursday, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) KSE 100-index slid 290.54 points, or 0.63 percent, to close at 45,652.62 points, down from 45,943.16 points the previous working day.

A total of 186,431,158 shares were traded during the day, compared to 234,997,430 the previous day, with the share price standing at Rs 5.621 billion, compared to Rs8.011 billion the previous trading day.

There were 311 businesses that exchanged shares on the stock exchange, with 92 earning a profit and 198 losing money, while the share price of 21 companies remained constant.
