On Thursday, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rai Babar Saeed visited the Police Khidmat Markaz and assessed the staff’s performance. The RPO Bahawalpur reviewed the provision of amenities being offered to people in 14 fields at the Police Khidmat Markaz, according to a spokeswoman for the Bahawalpur police. Additionally, he evaluated the effectiveness of the Tahaffaz Centre run out of the Police Khidmat Markaz. Speaking at the event, he stated that Tahaffaz centres created at Police Khidmat Markaz locations around the Punjab province would aid in providing assistance and protection to women, children, transgender people, and other people who have experienced violence, harassment, exploitation, and atrocities.
He said that the police will keep assisting women, transgender individuals, children living on the streets, and other people by offering their assistance through Tahaffaz facilities set up at the Police Khidmat Markaz. While there, the Bahawalpur DPO went to the public hospital to check on a citizen who had been hurt by gunfire that had been fired here on Thursday. Unknown three armed robbers invaded a store in the Sharifabad neighbourhood, which is within the jurisdiction of Sama Satta police station, to steal from the proprietor, according to a spokeswoman for the Bahawalpur police. He claimed that when the shopkeeper opposed the robbers, the armed bandits fired indiscriminately at him, critically wounding him. He said that the criminals were able to flee the scene.
The shopkeeper was taken urgently to the hospital for treatment. Doctors claim that he was shot twice in the body. He gave the concerned police officials instructions to ensure the criminals are taken into custody as soon as feasible. Additionally, he assembled a specialised police unit to use data and contemporary technologies to find the whereabouts of the criminals. In the meantime, Sama Satta police have filed a FIR against unidentified individuals and begun their search for and arrest of them. More investigation was being done.
