The prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif, is scheduled to visit Balochistan on May 18 (Thursday).

Iranian President Ibrahim Raeesi is expected to meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the Pakistan-Iran border in Pishin, Baluchistan.

According to sources, President Raeesi and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif would jointly launch a 100 megawatt energy transfer from Iran to Pakistan.

According to reports, Pakistan is presently importing 200 megawatts of power from Iran, but this figure might climb to 500 megawatts. Pakistan has been importing power from Iran for the Balochistan province of Makran since 2002.
