Despite a ban, the dangerous sport of kite flying is still popular in Punjab, as seen by a child who was injured on Friday in Lahore after a kite thread wrapped around his face.

The adolescent was riding his motorcycle in the Nawankot region of Lahore when a stray kite string wrapped around his face, hurting him, according to sources.

Rescue crews arrived on the spot after being informed and transferred the injured to the Services Hospital in Lahore.
