Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, cannot be detained by law enforcement until Monday, May 15 in any case brought against him, according to an order issued by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday.

He was then given a 10-day temporary bail in cases filed in Lahore by the court.

Justice Tariq Mehmood Jehangiri and Justice Ejaz Ishaq Khan made up the two-person bench that gave the decision. The court’s orders barring security forces from detaining Mr. Khan in any case filed after May 9 until May 17 and stopping the Toshakhana case, which the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) filed against Mr. Khan for allegedly concealing gifts, are additional reliefs granted to Mr. Khan by the IHC.
