ISLAMABAD: Pakistan continues to see a decline in the number of COVID-19 cases, with 5,196 new pandemic infections reported in the last 24 hours, down from 6,357 the day before.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), a total of 51,063 samples were tested, with 5,196 proving to be positive, representing a positivity rate of 10.17 percent, down from 12.81 percent yesterday.

With the addition of new cases, the total number of cases in the country has risen to 1,386,348.

In the previous 24 hours, fifteen more COVID-19 victims have died, bringing the total number of deaths to 29,137. The number of critical patients increased to 1,293 from 1,113 the day before.

Pakistan has completed 24,691,005 tests to diagnose the fatal virus, including 51,063 tests in the last 24 hours. 1,271,087 persons have regained their health, including 1,453 in the last 24 hours.
